ОСВРТ НА ПРАВО ДЕТЕТА ИЗ МАЊИНСКЕ ЗАЈЕДНИЦЕ ДА СЕ ОБРАЗУЈЕ НА СВОМ ЈЕЗИКУ

САЖЕТАК:

Право детета из мањинске заједнице на образовање на свом језику представља ужи израз права на образовање уопште, али и изузетно важан сегмент културног идентитета детета, његових родитеља и друштвене заједнице којој припада. Оваква садржина наведеног права наизглед може довести до тензија и сукоба између општих циљева образовања и потребе заштите колективних интереса мањинских заједница, који могу значити и њен опстанак. Тако, са једне стране, право на образовање је индивидуално право детета које има за циљ омогућавање развоја пуног дететовог потенцијала уз настојање да се сваком детету омогуће једнаки изгледи за приступ одговарајућим услугама и садржини образовања. Са друге стране, образовање на језику мањинске заједнице служи очувању идентитета детета и његових родитеља. На државама је да у границама својих највећих расположивих ресурса омогуће својеврстан суживот ових вредности и циљева, уз поштовање свих осталих права детета. У том случају, право детета да се образује на свом језику постаје додатни квалитет који може унапредити свеукупни развој конкретног детета.
