ABSTRACT / SAŽETAK:
Main goal of this work was to show adsorption efficiency of pure brushite material for heavy metals removal i.e. Pb2+ and Ni2+ from polluted water. The brushite material was synthesized by a simple solution-precipitation method, guided by green chemistry principles. The obtained material was investigated by XRD and SEM-EDS methods. The results of adsorption showed that lead removal efficiency goes up to 90%, while for nickel was about 20%. Obtained result showed that synthesized material can be successfully used as adsorbent for lead removal from tailings waters.
