ABSTRACT / SAŽETAK:
The standard molar enthalpy of formation of theophylline was measured by using high-precision combustion calorimetry. The temperature dependence of heat capacity for theophylline has been measured for the first time over the temperature range from 5.6 to 356 K using precision adiabatic vacuum calorimetry. Using the transpiration method, the temperature dependence of the vapor pressure of substance was measured. Based on the obtained data, the values of enthalpy of sublimation and enthalpy of formation of this compound at 298.15 K was found. Using the G4 method, the enthalpy of formation of theophylline in the gas phase was calculated.
