ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:
Origanum dictamnus, also known as Dittany of Crete, is an aromatic herb from the Lamiaceae family, valued for its medicinal properties. This study investigates the antioxidant potential of Origanum dictamnus extracts prepared using different solvents (water, ethanol, 50% ethanol, and methanol) and their subsequent encapsulation into soy lecithin liposomes. The extracts were evaluated for their antiradical scavenging activities against DPPH and •OH radicals using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. Methanol and 50% ethanol extracts demonstrated the highest antioxidant potential and were encapsulated into liposomes to enhance their stability and therapeutic efficacy. The liposomal formulations maintained the extracts’ antiradical activity, confirming their potential for treating conditions associated with oxidative stress.
