SAŽETAK / ABSTRACT:
Pred kraj svoje vladavine Tiberije (Tiberius) je podigao veliki hram svom ocu, božanskom Avgustu i u njemu ustanovio javnu biblioteku. Do danas nisu otkriveni materijalni tragovi koji bi značajno pomogli u otkrivanju tačne lokacije hrama i biblioteke, kao i njihovog izgleda i veličine. Pretpostavke o tome, kao i o uređenju biblioteke, kolekcijama dela koja su se u njoj nalazila, njenoj dostupnosti korisnicima, odnosno uslugama koje je ona pružala, mogu se dati na osnovu nekolicine književnih izvora koji pominju Avgustov hram i njegovu biblioteku.
