САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:

Пред крај своје владавине Тиберије (Tiberius) је подигао велики храм свом оцу, божанском Августу  и у њему установио јавну библиотеку. До данас нису откривени материјални трагови који би значајно помогли у откривању тачне локације храма и библиотеке, као и њиховог изгледа и величине. Претпоставке о томе, као и о уређењу библиотеке, колекцијама дела која су се у њој налазила, њеној доступности корисницима, односно услугама које је она пружала, могу се дати на основу неколицине књижевних извора који помињу Августов храм и његову библиотеку.
