САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:

Solar energy occupies a key place in energy, its development is much more dynamic than expected, so the production of electricity from renewable sources now has a major impact on the power system.
In this thesis, floating photovoltaic power plants is the main object of analysis. The installation of floating photovoltaic power plants open up new opportunities for scaling up solar generating capacity in North Macedonia. AD ESM intends to increase the total production of electricity from renewable sources and to invest in the construction of floating photovoltaic power plants on the reservoirs of hydropower plants. There are planned four floating photovoltaic power plants at locations: Mavrovo Lake, Debar Lake, Kozjak Lake and Tikvesh Lake.
The research is mainly focused on the advantages and disadvantages of this type of installation, a brief techno-economic analysis, potential locations for their installation, impact on the environment and human health.
