САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
The current way of life, increasing production and consumption, depletion and scarcity of resources, relations between companies, etc., are all accelerated today and affect survival and sustainability. For this reason, the concept of green economy has gained importance in recent years, in order to highlight the importance and necessity of the changes that must be implemented in order to achieve a balance between environmental sustainability and economic growth. Today’s business models are new models of the digital age, which are based on digital solutions, so many companies need speed, agility, flexibility in order to constantly be „in the game“ in the global market and business that is constantly changing. Digitization has just been recognized as one of the instruments with which it is possible to change the business organization, environment, and society. The aim of this work is to recognize the role and application of digitization within the green economy and achieving ecological sustainability, as well as the importance of their mutual synergy. The necessity and future plan is to help both companies and other actors to include digital solutions in business activities as soon as possible, which would affect the increase of their business excellence and efficiency and at the same time affect environmental sustainability.
