ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:

The selective ablation of nano composite thin film with femtosecond laser pulses is presented. The experimental sample, thin film composed of alternating metallic bi-layers of niobium and titanium (Nb/Ti) was deposited on Si substrate by ion-sputtering. A single laser pulses irradiation was performed in air with focused and linearly polarized Gaussian laser beam; single pulse duration 170 fs and wavelength 513 nm. To achieve selective ablation of the one and two nanolayers from the composite, energy of laser pulses was gradually increased from 0.5 to 1.0 J/cm2. Detailed morphological characterization of the obtained spots on Nb/Ti nanocomposites indicates a well- defined selective ablation of the first one and the two layers for all applied fluences. However, at higher fluences, the central part is additionally modified due to the combination of photomechanical and thermal effects of the laser interaction.
