ABSTRACT / SAŽETAK:
This work presents detailed studies on the changes induced by gamma radiation on the optical, structural, morphological, and physicochemical properties of zinc phthalocyanine synthesized under microwave heating. Well-crystallized, with high yield and purity zinc phthalocyanine in β-form was obtained in a fraction of the time under the closed-vessel system of a microwave reactor. Gradual changes from blue to light yellow color of zinc phthalocyanine solution, with the increasing of the gamma radiation dose, were observed in the DMSO solution. High stability, in terms of morphology and dye structure, leads to promising new materials for a wide range of applications in advanced technology and medicine.
