ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:
The aim of this work was a kinetic study of ibuprofen adsorption from water using carbon cryogel, nitrogen-doped, and nitrogen and sulfur co-doped carbon cryogel. Nitrogen and sulfur were incorporated into the carbon structure to improve textural, surface, and electronic properties. Ibuprofen is most commonly used with occurrence in the water systems. A kinetic study was performed to optimize the adsorption condition for ibuprofen removal. Obtained experimental data was fitted with four models: pseudo-first and pseudo-second order, Elovich and Intraparticle diffusion model. The obtained results suggested better adsorption kinetic properties for doped and co-doped samples compared to pristine carbon cryogel, which is a consequence of heteroatom incorporation and improving their surface properties.
