Urban areas are particularly affected by polluted air. The objective of this research was to evaluate the air quality in Belgrade, focusing on the distinct distribution of pollutants across various locations during different seasons. The air quality was determined by analyzing the spatial and temporal distribution of SO2, NO2, PM10, PM2.5, CO, benzene, and ground-level O3 in real-time at eleven locations. Data analysis showed spatial and temporal variations in SO2, CO, and benzene concentrations, but the limit values were not exceeded. The average monthly concentrations of NO2, PM2.5, and PM10 indicate a similar seasonal distribution, with increased concentrations in cold periods of the year and exceeded limit values. In contrast, the concentrations of O3 surpassed the limit values mostly in the summer months. The analyzed data indicate that the air in Belgrade was excessively polluted during 2021, but there are significant differences in the seasonal and spatial distribution of air pollutants.
