ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:
In this study, thermal degradation of urethane and urea bonds in waterborne polyurethanes (WBPUs) based on poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and 2,2-bis- (hydroxymethyl)propionic acid (DMPA), was investigated. Three WBPUs with different DMPA/PDMS molar ratio were prepared using simplified procedure, without chain extension step. The kinetic of the first step of thermal degradation of WBPUs, during which the weakest urethane and urea linkages decomposed, was explored in detail. It was established that the average apparent activation energy of this step ranged from 139 to 168 kJ/mol, according to the model-free Ozawa- Flynn-Wall method. Coats-Redfern model-fitting method and different kinetic models were tested to find the one that gives the best fit to the experimental data
