ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:

Iron oxide and iron oxyhydroxide having narrow bandgap energy can efficiently utilize visible light and resulted in charge carriers for hetero-catalysis. The well-known rapid photoelectron-hole pair recombination of iron oxide species including iron oxyhydroxide is the drawback of these materials to be solved. In the present study, the production of hematite/goethite composite which improved its photo-catalytic activity is reported. Moreover, the ratio of hematite/goethite influenced the activity of the produced materials. The findings are valuable as an alternative to regulate the formation of composite with distinct properties.
