ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:

The LIBS technique based on the TEA CO2 laser is optimized for obtaining narrow and intense hydrogen Balmer lines, with the aim of application for quantitative and isotopic analysis of hydrogen. In the helium atmosphere under reduced pressure (below 10 mbar), for delay times longer than 5 μs, line widths of 0.04 nm were obtained, close to the instrumental width of the spectrograph. For optimal experimental conditions, plasma diagnostics were performed using optical emission spectroscopy methods: the electron concentration from 2.5 x 1021 m-3 to 2.7 x 1020 m-3, and gas temperature from 5000 to 3500 K were obtained.
