SAŽETAK / ABSTRACT:
In the „Pećinci“ Sugar Factory, the steam turbine governor on the QnP steam turbine was modernized, including both the hydraulic and electrical part. Additionally, to achieve a higher level of automation, a control system for starting and stopping the unit was implemented. In this system, the most critical parameters are those which determine the steam quality at the power plant’s outlet, which is subsequently used in the sugar production process. This paper presents the results of the steam turbine’s electricity production while maintaining optimal outlet steam parameters and minimizing downtime.
