SAŽETAK / ABSTRACT:

The paper presents the realization of a twelve-pulse rectifier without an interphase transformer, powered by a transformer with two secondaries with different voltage amplitudes, intended for supplying an electrolyzer for hydrogen production, with an output power of 40kW. The analysis of the topology of the converters, theoretical considerations and practical measurements during commissioning of the device, are given. The chosen solution was compared with other currently popular solutions from the aspects of reliability, resistance to network interference and efficiency. The physicochemical characteristics of alkaline electrolytic cells for obtaining hydrogen were also analyzed. As an important energy source of the future, it is predicted that the production of hydrogen will become widespread in our country in the coming years, therefore the possibility for the wide application of converters intended for electrolysis as well as the ways of their implementation, were considered.
