САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
In order to ensure safe and reliable transmission of electricity in electric power system due to increased consumption, power lines aging and requirements for operation and maintenance standards, new techniques have been developed for the assessment and diagnosis of the condition of various elements of high voltage overhead power lines in order to confirm the condition of the elements of these lines. They serve as a basis for making decisions on urgent rehabilitation as well as for the process of planning the revitalization and upgrade of especially aging transmission power lines whose service life is about to expire. In this paper, the results of the application of Kinectrics LineVue robotic technology in the transmission system of the Republic of Serbia are presented, which enables the assessment of the condition of conductors with steel cores (ACSR and ACSS) and steel earth wires. The robot measures the remaining cross-sectional area of the conductor steel core, detects local corrosion and breaks of steel wires on energized or de-energized transmission lines. Provided results can be used to estimate the conductor health index in the process of condition assessment and optimization the remaining life of the conductor.
