SAŽETAK /ABSTRACT:

Filon Aleksandrijski spada među najznačajnije posrednike judaizma i helenizma na razmeđu stare i nove ere. Njegov uticaj na razvoj hrišćanske egzegeze ali i teologije i etike u celini bio je ogroman, zbog čega je zadobio mesto oca crkve honoriscausa. Njegov stav prema ženama mnogi su opisivali kao izrazito mizogen, pripisujući mu maligni uticaj na kasnije hrišćanske pisce. U ovom radu ćemo pokušati da rasvetlimo razloge takvog Filonovog stava ali i da ukažemo na mogućnosti drugačijeg kontekstualizovanja njegovih ideja. Osnov za takvu mogućnost leži u Filonovoj simboličkoj ontologizaciji muškosti i ženskosti, pri čemu se ovi pojmovi delimično distanciraju od konkretnih muškaraca i žena, što omogućava stvarnu promenu njihovog položaja u simboličkom poretku sveta.
