САЖЕТАК /ABSTRACT:

This paper investigates the role of quadrature rules in computer science education by contrasting classical methods taught in undergraduate courses with modern scientific advances. An example with integral which appears in signal processing was implemented using Mathematica, Octave and Python, where built-in integration functions were applied and compared with results obtained using quadrature rules from the newest papers. By integrating theoretical knowledge, practical programming, and modern research outcomes, this work aims to motivate computer science students to engage more deeply with numerical mathematics. The findings suggest that bridging classroom theory with real-world applications not only improves comprehension but also fosters critical thinking, preparing students to evaluate computational tools carefully and to appreciate the continuous development of numerical methods.
