САЖЕТАК /ABSTRACT:

The design of gear transmissions requires a comprehensive evaluation of their load-carrying capacity through static and dynamic analyses of gear teeth, together with an assessment of the contact pressure acting on the tooth flanks. Among the specialized software packages developed for the analysis of involute gear transmissions, MDESIGN LVR represents one of the most advanced engineering tools. Based on the Loaded Tooth Contact Analysis (LTCA) methodology, the software enables detailed evaluation of load distribution, contact pressure, tooth root stresses, elastic deformations of transmission components, and transmission error. This paper presents the application of the MDESIGN LVR software package to the numerical analysis of the main spur gear transmission of a radial drilling machine. The analysis includes the determination of line load distribution along the line of action and across the tooth face width, contact pressure distribution, tooth root stresses, and elastic deformations of gears and shafts. The obtained results enable the identification of critical load concentration regions and provide a reliable basis for optimizing gear geometry, improving transmission reliability, and enhancing the overall gear design process.
