САЖЕТАК /ABSTRACT:

As quantum computing continues to develop rapidly while expanding its applications across a growing number of diverse fields, the idea of educating students about quantum concepts should not be overlooked. By considering the fundamental principles of quantum computing alongside numerous related theoretical, empirical and practical papers, a clear conclusion can be drawn regarding the significant importance of introducing quantum topics into curriculum of electrical engineering studies already at an undergraduate level. A limited survey was conducted among students, teaching assistants and professors at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in East Sarajevo in order to examine their readiness and motivation for studying quantum computing. Based on a literature review and conducted survey, this paper proposes an incremental model for expanding the existing curriculum to keep up with modern educational requirements. The curriculum should be focused on practical understanding and real-world applications rather than on underlying foundations originating from quantum mechanics and linear algebra that are beyond the needs of the most engineering students.
