САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
Empatija predstavlja bitnu komponentnu nastave stranih jezika i obrazovanja uopšte. Cilj ove studije je da istraži ulogu empatije u nastavi engleskog jezika za specifične namene (ESP), sa posebnim osvrtom na program za studente pejzažne arhitekture. Polaznu osnovu čini pretpostavka da empatija, kao sposobnost prepoznavanja i razumevanja misli i osećanja drugih i pružanja adekvatnog emocionalnog odgovora, može da bude važan pedagoški alat koji unapređuje motivaciju, angažovanje i profesionalni razvoj studenata. Teorijski okvir rada se zasniva na socijalno-konstruktivističkoj teoriji, humanističkom pristupu u nastavi jezika i Krašenovoj hipotezi afektivnog filtera. Korišćenjem kvalitativnog pristupa, analizirane su nastavne prakse i materijali ESP kursa za studente pejzažne arhitekture na Šumarskom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu koji podstiču razvoj empatije. Aktivnosti su klasifikovane prema tri prepoznata aspekta empatije u ESP kontekstu: 1) empatija prema budućim korisnicima prostora, 2) empatija među studentima u procesu učenja i 3) empatija nastavnika prema potrebama studenata. Osim toga što aktivnosti kao što su igranje uloga i simulacije sastanaka sa klijentima, analiza studija slučaja i refleksivno pisanje o projektnim odlukama doprinose razvoju stručnog rečnika i komunikativnih veština, one takođe podstiču studente da razumeju potrebe korisnika prostora i ekološki kontekst struke. Prakse poput timskih projekata i međuvršnjačke evaluacije doprinose stvaranju atmosfere koja podstiče otvorenu komunikaciju i učenje. U zaključcima se navodi da je integracija empatije u ESP nastavu neophodna za razvoj ne samo jezičke, već i profesionalne i etičke kompetencije budućih pejzažnih arhitekata.
