ABSTRACT / SAŽETAK:
In the paper production industry, performing regular energy audits of the drying section and associated heat recovery systems is crucial for reducing operational costs and minimizing environmental impact. As the most energy-intensive stage of the process, the dryer section presents a prime opportunity for energy optimization.
A practical example of the benefits of periodic energy audits can be seen in the improvements made to Paper Machine in DS Smith corporation. By optimizing airflow (supply and exhaust air in drying section) and aligning it more closely with the system’s original design parameters, the facility achieved significant energy savings and enhanced overall operational efficiency and environmental impacts.
