ABSTRACT / SAŽETAK:
The paper describes some major moments in Serbia’s relations with the West, particularly the Student Protest of 1996/97, and the democratic revolution of 2000. It insists on solidarity and democratic culture as key issues for the affirmation of European ideas in Serbia and in the Western Balkans.
