ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:

In this study, an aqueous two-phase system utilizing the copolymer Pluronic and the ionic liquid cholinium acetate was employed for the extraction of polyphenolic compounds (gallic acid, vanillic acid and resveratrol) from the aqueous solution. The logarithmic value of the partition coefficient of -1.22 and extraction efficiency of approximately 8% indicated that resveratrol preferentially partitions into the copolymer phase. In contrast, approximately 75% of the phenolic acids were extracted into the ionic liquid phase. Vanillic and gallic acids were successfully separated from resveratrol with selectivity factors of 34.58 and 41.90, respectively. This study demonstrates that the proposed biocompatible copolymer-based aqueous two-phase system has substantial potential as a platform for separating resveratrol from gallic and vanillic acids in real samples, such as food waste
