САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
The extensive application of pesticides like clomazone (CLO) and deltamethrin (DLM) poses a significant risk to human health, as they can easily enter the food chain. Therefore, an efficient and environmentally friendly method for their removal from the environment is essential. In this work, we introduce a novel, green approach for extracting pesticides from water using ionic-liquid-based aqueous biphasic systems (IL-based ABS). ABS composed of tetrabutylammonium lactate [TBA][Lac] or tetrabutylphosphonium lactate [TBP][Lac] and ammonium sulfate were tested for removal of two pesticides with different polarities: deltamethrin, a nonpolar insecticide and clomazone, a moderately polar herbicide. The study demonstrated that in both ABS DLT and CLO preferably migrate to the more hydrophobic, IL-rich phase, with partition coefficient exceeding 45.
