САЖЕТАК /ABSTRACT:

Идеја о важности отворених јавних простора за урбану одрживост може се пратити кроз велики број теоријских радова објављених у врхунским часописима и монографијама реномираних светских издавача. У исто време, у пракси урбаног планирања и дизајна, врло је значајна примена овог концепта, било да се ради о новим или реконструисаним јавним просторима. Локалне заједнице, планери и локално становништво препознали су еколошки, друштвени и економски значај урбаних јавних простора. Овим радом се, на основу прегледа литературе, анализира значај урбаног јавног простора као места сусрета, интеракције и као кључног фактора у стварању социјалне кохезије и идентитета, инклузивности и приступачности заједнице. Овај рад ставља акценат пре свега на односе урбаног јавног простора као елемента физичке структуре, који који је у интеракцији са друштвено-социјалним аспектима јавног простора. Разматрани су просторни и пројектантски аспекти, али и могући проблеми са којима се заједница суочава, идентификују проблрми и дају предлози за њихово решавање. Проучавањем иновативних приступа и креативних решења за пројектовање нових или трансформацију постојећих урбаних јавних простора у одрживе и мултифункционалне целине, које могу да подрже различите активности и потребе заједнице, доприноси се одрживости урбаних јавних простора, безбедности, сигурности и здравој животној срдини. У раду су предложена решења како доћи до паметних урбаних јавних простора коришћењем нових технологија које могу да побољшају њихову просторну, еколошку и социјално-економску вредност. Овим, као и другим параметрима отворених урбаних јавних простора бави се овај рад.
