САЖЕТАК /ABSTRACT:
The Integrated Health Information System of the Republic of Srpska (IZIS) is a centralized information system designed to connect all healthcare institutions within the Republic of Srpska into a unified information network. This paper analyzes and models the business processes of the IZIS using the example of the Public Health Institution Hospital Zvornik, with the aim of identifying key functional and organizational components of the system. The research is based on a survey approach and the application of UML methodology (Activity diagrams) to provide a detailed representation of information flows, actor roles, and the integration of system modules. The results indicate a high level of digitalization and integration of healthcare processes, particularly through modules such as eBolnica, eAmbulanta2 and diagnostic subsystems (eRadiologija, eLaboratorija, eMikrobiologija and ePatologija). Automation of key functions contributes to reducing administrative workload and improving data accuracy. However, several challenges have been identified, including limited interoperability with external institutions, technical issues such as system overload, and the need for further process automation. It is concluded that further development of IZIS should focus on improving technical infrastructure, expanding integration, and adapting the system to user needs.
