SAŽETAK / ABSTRACT:
Veoma je teško odrediti kada su se pojavile prve društvene aktivnosti čoveka koje bi bile bliske pojmu savremenog sporta. Ideja sporta podrazumeva svest o usavršavanju sebe i sopstvenih sposobnosti kroz fizičko vežbanje i nadmetanje sa samim sobom i drugima. Zbog toga je klica iz koje se sport začeo stara koliko i ljudsko društvo. U tom smislu, ideja nadmetanja, bliska pojmu sporta, začeta je sa osvitom civilizacije, unutar mitoloških okvira, verskih rituala i drevnih formi plesa i igre.
