ABSTRACT / SAŽETAK:
Rad analizira uticaj bioloških faktora na biodiverzitet reka Dunav i Sava u Republici Srbiji, sa posebnim osvrtom na promene u strukturi bioloških zajednica i njihovu povezanost sa javnim zdravljem. Istraživanje se zasniva na analizi podataka monitoringa i relevantne literature, sa fokusom na ulogu invazivnih vrsta u transformaciji rečnih ekosistema. Rezultati ukazuju na porast udela tolerantnih i alohtonih vrsta, smanjenje brojnosti osetljivih autohtonih populacija i poremećaj trofičkih odnosa. Dominacija vrsta kao što su tolstolobik, cverglan i babuška predstavlja indikator sistemske promene ekološke ravnoteže i smanjenja funkcionalne raznovrsnosti ekosistema.
