САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
Akvatične biljke obuhvataju složenu grupu različitih adaptivnih tipova koje naseljavaju različite vodene basene. Ujedno, predstavljaju primarne producente, prvu kariku u lancima ishrane i svi drugi oblici života u akvatičnoj sredini zavise od njih. Sa druge strane, veliki uticaj na funkcionalnost sistema ima nekontrolisano obrastanje kanalske mreže vegetacijom, naročito novim, alohtonim invazivnim vrstama. Crpne stanice i kanalska mreža ne mogu kvalitetno da odgovore na novonastale izazove. Hidromorfološke promene imaju značajan uticaj na nativnu floru i faunu područja. Istraživanja interakcije vodenih biljaka i zajednice makroinvertebrata nisu samo od naučnog značaja, već predstavljaju i osnovu za adekvatno upravljanje vodenim ekosistema. Cilj rada je da se predstave oscilacije biološke raznovrsnosti istraživanog područja nastale kao posledica razlika u održavanju vodene vegetacije u kanalskoj mreži leve obale Dunava.
