SAŽETAK:
Biblioteka Oktavijinog trema bila je jedna od tri javne biblioteke koje su postojale u vreme vladavine Avgusta. Rad se najpre bavi pitanjima oko kojih još uvek ima dilema – ko je izgradio biblioteku, kome je ona posvećena, ko je posvetio i na kom mestu je bila locirana? Takođe biće obrađena i pitanja bibliotečkog fonda i njegovog popunjavanja, kao i unutrašnje organizacije biblioteke bez koje se i ne može zamisliti pružanje bibliotečkih usluga.
