ABSTRACT / SAŽETAK:
This paper presents an assessment of a reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete structure of an industrial production hall located within the Novkabel factory complex in Novi Sad. The evaluation was carried out with the aim of determining the current state of the structure after several decades of service, in order to lay the groundwork for the preparation of a reconstruction and rehabilitation design. As part of the assessment, a detailed visual inspection of all load-bearing structural elements was conducted, accompanied by the identification and classification of defects and damages. In addition, non-destructive testing and laboratory analyses were performed to verify the quality of the incorporated materials. The inspection revealed numerous defects originating from the construction phase, including insufficient thickness of the concrete cover, with locally exposed reinforcement. Various types of damages were also identified, such as cracks and fissures of differing orientations and causes, along with reinforcement corrosion in an advanced stage of progression. Based on the comprehensive analyses, it was concluded that the concrete quality does not meet the requirements of the specified design grade, which in turn necessitates a verification structural analysis and a reassessment of load-bearing capacity. Furthermore, the durability of the structure has been compromised as a result of the observed deterioration.
