POVRATNE MIGRACIJE U STARIJEM ŽIVOTNOM DOBU: DEMOGRAFSKE, SOCIO-EKONOMSKE I PRAVNE DIMENZIJE

SAŽETAK /ABSTRACT:

Migracije i starenje predstavljaju dva procesa koja sve snažnije oblikuju demografske i opšte društvene tokove u savremenom svetu. Sa produženjem životnog veka i porastom broja starijih pitanje migracija u starosti postaje sve vidljivije, a posebno značajan segment ovog fenomena čine povratne migracije. Reč je o situacijama u kojima se stariji, nakon godina ili decenija provedenih u inostranstvu, odlučuju na povratak u zemlju porekla. Povratne migracije u starijem životnom dobu donose niz pitanja koja prevazilaze individualni nivo i tiču se funkcionisanja zdravstvenih sistema, sistema socijalne zaštite, penzijskih i obrazovnih institucija, kao i lokalnih zajednica koje se prilagođavaju novim obrascima mobilnosti. U isto vreme, ovaj oblik migracija otkriva i koliko snažna može biti uloga identiteta, sećanja i kulturne pripadnosti u oblikovanju odluka u starijem životnom dobu. Rad ukazuje na to da migracije i starenje, a naročito povratne migracije, nisu samo lične životne odluke, već i društveni procesi koji osvetljavaju šire promene u savremenim društvima. Analizom ovog fenomena otvara se prostor za bolje razumevanje položaja starijih i za oblikovanje politika koje mogu doprineti njihovom kvalitetnijem i dostojanstvenijem životu.
