САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
In air at atmospheric pressure, corona is a partial discharge that occurs around a conductor with a small radius of curvature when a strong inhomogeneous electric field is formed. When the electric field intensity in the air is above a certain threshold, a spatial charge is generated around the conductor, consisting of positive and negative ions. When the lightning hits an overhead line, a surge wave propagates, forming a corona around the conductor. The corona charge increases the capacitance of the lines, which leads to attenuation and distortion of the surge pulse during propagation. There are various corona models that can be used to calculate the change in the amplitude and steepness of the surge pulse during propagation. One of them is the CIGRE parabolic model, which is based on a simple mathematical dependence of the generated charge on the current voltage value. The physical picture of the dynamics of charged particles during a corona discharge can be described by the drift-diffusion model. By solving the continuity equations for electrons, positive and negative ions, a detailed theoretical analysis of the temporal and spatial dependence of particle concentrations and the electric field around the conductor is obtained. Based on the obtained results, the total generated corona charge can be calculated and compared with the results of the simpler engineering CIGRE parabolic model.
