САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
The distribution system operator „Elektrokrajina“ has all the necessary systems that an advanced distribution system operator possesses. One of these systems is automatic consumption meter management (AMM). Many meters located in substations have been introduced into the AMM system. Because they were introduced, DSO „Elektrokrajina“ received accurate data that could be used to reduce technical losses. The distribution system in Banja Luka uses a ring network to reduce the amount of time a consumer can be without power if repairs are being made. In ring networks, it is necessary to have a switching point. In order to determine the optimal location of the switch, the algorithm „Exchange branches“ will be used according to the criterion of minimum losses of active power.
