САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
One of the biggest challenges in rural areas is the lack of access to electrical distribution connections. The most common reasons are distance and inaccessible terrain, which results in an economically unprofitable investment in the construction of electrical distribution network. In many remote locations, diesel generator sets are often used as a source of electricity to power consumers. Costs in the form of fuel consumption and maintenance can be very high, and the availability and quality of the power supply is satisfactory for general needs. On the other hand, certain commercial and industrial facilities connected to the electrical distribution network require high stability and availability of power supply. In this case, it is possible to integrate the hybrid power supply system with the electrical distribution network as a secondary (reserve) source. The use of a hybrid power system brings numerous advantages, first in terms of redundancy and reliability in power supply, and then in cost-effectiveness, maintenance and ultimately reduction of CO2 emissions. The ability to combine two or more power sources and adjust its output power and capacity make it scalable. This topic primarily shows the principle of how system functions, integration of electricity sources and battery energy storage, remote monitoring and management in real-time. The advantages and applications of such systems are discussed, through practical examples during exploitation so far.
