САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:

Solar power plants use the energy of solar radiation to generate electricity, which in modern energy systems is considered an intermittent source — that is, a source whose energy potential varies over time. Consequently, production forecasting represents a key element in both the technical and financial development of a solar power plant project. Production estimation is important in the long term, for evaluating the profitability of the project, as well as in the short term for meeting the relevant grid requirements. The speed of assessment is also crucial, making every available tool necessary — both as a means of estimation and as a means of validation. The aim of this work is to verify the performance of a code developed using a simplified academic model under real-world conditions, with the goal of further development and potential application in the energy industry.
