САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
EMS JSC Belgrade implemented an auction platform for the procurement and sale of electrical energy (hereinafter the auction platform) during 2024. The primary role of the auction platform is the procurement of electrical energy to cover for transmission system losses. The auction platform was developed jointly with the Slovenian company and supports procurement of electrical energy at different time intervals, with different diagrams and with multiple algorithms for declaring the winner of the auctions. EMS JSC Belgrade together with the Slovenian company, through the project of implementing the auction platform, tried to eliminate the shortcomings that existed during the previously implemented auction platform in order to leave more opportunities for procurement and attract a larger number of participants in the auctions.
The paper describes in detail the specification of the platform’s work process, highlights the features that contribute to efficient work and presents the reasons for such a choice of functionality. Through several examples of conducted auctions, readers are introduced to the sequence of steps in order to successfully conduct the auction, that is, optimal procurement of electrical energy for covering transmission system losses.
