SAŽETAK: 

Razmatrajući nalaze prethodnih istraživanja koja ukazuju da prekomerna masa đačke torbe može izazvati razne deformitete lokomotornog aparata učenika, cilj rada je bio da se istraži da li procentualni odnos mase tela i mase đačke torbe naših učenika odgovara propisanim standardima i da se istraži odnos učenika mlađeg školskog uzrasta prema teškoj đačkoj torbi. Dobijeni rezultati pokazuju da se masa đačke torbe povećava sa detetovim uzrastom i razredom. Takođe, rezultati ukazuju da velika većina dece nosi đačku torbu koja je teža od 10% njihove telesne mase. Rezultati ankete pokazuju da 68,6% dece ide i vraća se iz škole pešice, pritom prelazeći razdaljinu do jednog kilometra (71,3%), samostalno noseći torbu (81,9%). Ergonomsku torbu sa ojačanjima nosilo je 65,2% anketirane dece.
