UPOTREBA REČNIKÂ U UČENJU ENGLESKOG JEZIKA STRUKE NA TERCIJARNOM NIVOU IZ PERSPEKTIVE STUDENATA

SAŽETAK:

Cilj ovog rada je da prikaže deo rezultata istraživanja koje se bavilo ispitivanjem upotrebe opštih i stručnih rečnika u učenju engleskog jezika struke na našim visokoškolskim institucijama. Istraživanje je sprovedeno na uzorku od 705 studenata Univerziteta u Novom Sadu, a za njegove potrebe konstruisan je upitnik koji se sastojao od 50 pitanja sa četvorostepenom skalom ponuđenih odgovora i 10 pitanja sa ponuđena dva odgovora (slažem se i ne slažem se). Takođe, sproveden je i polustrukturisani intervju sa 11 ispitanika. Podaci dobijeni putem upitnika obrađeni su pomoću statističkog paketa SPSS 20, a podaci iz intervjua obrađeni su postupkom analize sadržaja. Kvantitativni rezultati ukazuju na to da većina ispitanika najčešće koristi digitalne rečnike, ređe štampane i jednojezične, a najređe stručne. Isti, kvantitativni rezultati pokazuju da studenti najviše  konsultuju rečnik radi nalaženja značenja  reči i provere pravopisa, da ne razumeju skraćenice za gramatička obeležja odrednica i ne umeju da procene valjanost rečnikâ. Takođe, većina ih ne poseduje stručni rečnik. Kvalitativni rezultati potvrđuju da ispitanici uglavnom koriste digitalne rečnike i besplatne servise za prevođenje na internetu (npr. Google translate), jer je pretraživanje pomoću njih mnogo brže, a cilj njihove pretrage je gotovo isključivo značenje reči. Dobijeni rezultati jasno ukazuju na neophodnost sistematske obuke učenikâ stranog jezika u vezi sa upotrebom rečnikâ na svim nivoima obrazovanja.
