САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:

Књижевност је у последње време заступљенија у методичкој литератури него раније, при чему се већина објављених истраживања бави опционим елементима наставног процеса. Сматрајући да би испитивање обавезних елемената наставног процеса могло допринети објективнијем сагледавању значаја и улоге књижевности у савременој настави језика, спроводимо квантитативну анализу заступљености и структуре књижевних садржаја у акредитованим уџбеницима енглеског језика за средње школе. Циљ истраживања је двострук: с једне стране практичан, да доносиоцима одлука и учесницима у наставном процесу пружи информације које могу бити корисне у избору уџбеника, а с друге теоријски, да посредно осветли значај и улогу књижевности у актуелном тумачењу комуникативног приступа настави страних језика. У вези с тим, истраживање полази од претпоставке, засноване на запажањима Хенрија Видоусона, да је књижевност у уџбеницима енглеског језика заступљена маргинално и да је фокус књижевних садржаја у њима претежно утилитаран. Анализа заступљености и врсте књижевних садржаја у уџбеницима и структуре припадајућих вежбања потврдила је полазну претпоставку, а са становишта разноврсности и заступљености књижевних материјала посебно су се издвојиле уџбеничке серије Headway 5. изд. и Solutions.
