SAŽETAK:

U ovom radu predstavljen je spektar savremenih pristupa proučavanju metafore. Nesumljivo najpopularniji današnji pristup ovom fenomenu, teorija pojmovne metafore, odnosno teorija kognitivne metafore Lejkofa i Džonsona, samo je jedan od mogućih, često komplementarnih modela izučavanja ovog fenomena. Stoga se u radu razmatra i teorija pojmovnog objedinjavanja Fokonijea i Tarnera, Glaksbergov model priključenja klasi, hipoteza o „karijeri metafore‚, kao i pristupi metafori u okviru diskursne dinamike, teorije relevantnosti i kritičke analize metafore. Raznovrsnost ovih perspektiva i obilje mogućih pristupa metafori, koji se ne moraju nužno međusobno isključivati, samo potvrđuju obimnost i složenost posmatranog fenomena.
