САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:

The sphere of education in postmodern society is one of the most area important. The consequence of a series of global changes is particularli evident in the Western Balkan subregion. The doctrine digitalization of education represents one of the key processes of modern social transformations, especially in the context of European policies of sustainable development and improvement of public health. This paper analyzes the interconnection of digital educational technologies, protection of human health and the implementation of the principles of the European Union’s green economy. Starting from the current strategic frameworks of the EU – including the European Green Deal, the Digital Agenda and the Program for the Digital Decade – the work examines how digital tools in education contribute to reducing epidemiological risks, improving health literacy and preserving mental health, especially through the possibilities of distance learning and individualized access to teaching. At the same time, the ecological implications of digitalization are considered, such as reducing the use of material resources, optimizing infrastructure and forming sustainable educational practices that support the transition to a green economy. Through theoretical analysis, review of relevant European policies and identification of practical effects of digital transformation, the work shows that digitalization of education can significantly contribute to health preservation and accelerate the adaptation of educational systems to environmentally responsible development models. However, it also points to existing challenges, among which are the digital divide, the need to improve infrastructure and insufficient education of teaching staff in the field of information and communication technologies. The findings of the paper suggest that the successful integration of digital educational solutions in order to protect health and environmental sustainability requires coordinated institutional efforts, systemic investments and long-term strategic planning. Here we emphasizes that a digitized and sustainable education is a key factor for building a resilient, healthy and environmentally conscious society in accordance with European Union standards.
