ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:
The energy transition is often portrayed as a linear shift from fossil fuels to a low carbon system. In reality, it entails a broader redefinition of the relationship between security, technology, industry, and power. Energy remains a structural variable of international politics: it shapes manufacturing competitiveness, the resilience of national economies, and the capacity of states to absorb external shocks. For this reason, the transition cannot be understood merely as a climate agenda. It unfolds within a context marked by strategic rivalry, technological asymmetries, and profound disparities in the ability of different actors to bear the costs of adaptation.
