ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:
The international order is a modern political phenomenon and a concept that owes its origin, provisions, and significance to the overseas expansion of the European West and the simultaneous geopolitical maneuvering of its key state actors. Step by step, reshaping itself from within and imposing itself from without, Western Europe and its primary civilizational product located across the Atlantic—the USA—built the first true „world order” composed of a series of global economic, military, and political „systems.” Order refers to the distribution of power, while systems indicate the organization of influence. The unifying concept for both order and systems, and simultaneously a synonym for the West, is „modernity”—a generic term used to explain the political force, military strength, economic efficiency, and cultural enlightenment of the political communities that emerged from the ruins of the medieval „Christian world.”
