ABSTRACT / SAŽETAK:
The protection of children and employees in Novi Sad’s primary and secondary schools is essential for a healthy society. This study applies Network Analysis in ArcGIS Pro to assess spatial connectivity and service accessibility for emergency medical services, police, and fire departments. Using tools like Service Area and Location-Allocation, it evaluates coverage and response times. Data from ArcGIS Online, geofabrik.de, and geosrbija.rs help identify optimal service locations and spatial challenges. Results reveal disparities, especially in suburban areas, highlighting the need for new facilities. Proposed locations improve coverage and response efficiency. Emergency medical services are needed in Kać, Čenej, Budisava, Begeč, Futog, Kisač, and Stepanovićevo, while fire stations are required in Ledinci and Bukovac. A police station should be built in Kovilj. The study emphasizes the importance of spatial planning and data-driven decision-making to enhance public service provision and address evolving spatial and service demands.
