POSITION OF WOMEN IN NORDIC COUNTRIES AND AUTONOMOUS TERRITORIES

ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:

This seminar paper analyzes the influence of the organization of the Nordic countries, and members of the Nordic Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers, on national gender equality, with a special focus on the members, and the important legislative framework under such relations. The paper shows the historical development and goals of the council and then examines how the political and economic dynamics between the people and the state have evolved, especially in the sphere of gender equality and equality. The methodology is based on qualitative analysis and reports from international institutions, scientific works and oficial publications are used. Special emphasis was placed on global institutions, and the initiatives launched by them, through which major important changes for the country and key agreements that affected the people’s rights were brought about. The analysis points to the existence of challenges with new policies, as well as possible solutions and prospects for progress.
