ABSTRACT / SAŽETAK:

In today’s business environment, standardization plays a key role in strengthening competitiveness, supporting innovation, and achieving sustainable development goals. In the pulp, paper, packaging, and graphics (PPPG) industry, alignment with European and international standards serves as a foundation for technological progress, digital transformation, and the transition to a circular economy. The Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS), through the work of its technical committees, actively contributes to the development and implementation of modern standards, in cooperation with relevant national and international partners. Special emphasis is placed on the need for stronger ties with the industry—through the active participation of professionals from the field in the standardization process. The goal is to build a common platform for the creation of standards that reflect actual market needs, support sustainability, and accelerate the adoption of innovations.
